Music Empowers Foundation To Partner With Kris Allen For Benefit Concert In Support Of Arkansas' Blackbird Academy Of Arts

Blackbird Academy of Arts, a music and performing arts academy in central Arkansas, will be the beneficiary of a benefit concert by 2009 American Idol winner Kris Allen and his band on October 27th at the Reynolds Auditorium in Conway, Arkansas. The Music Empowers Foundation will match up to $50,000 of ticket sales to the concert and sponsor contributions to attend a private pre-event with Kris Allen. Blackbird Academy is a one-of-a-kind institution in central Arkansas and already brings music and arts education to hundreds of children in this under-served area of the state. Music Empowers and Kris Allen hope to raise over $100,000 for the Academy, enabling it to significantly expand its physical space and establish a scholarship fund for disadvantaged children.
