Quincy Jones Musiq Consortium Receives Two-Year Grant to Support Development of Music Education Program for New Orleans Public Schools

Recently, Music Empowers Foundation announced a two-year, $20,000 grant to the Quincy Jones Musiq Consortium to support the early phase development of a geocentric music education program and curriculum, the goal of which will be to bring a broad-based and consistent music education program to schools across New Orleans and Jackson Parish. A portion of this grant also will be used to support the Mahalia Jackson Center.
