Music Empowers and Kris Allen announce a two year grant of $175,000 to Berklee City Music

As part of their on-going partnership to support music education, Music Empowers Foundation and Music Empowers announced a two-year $175,000 grant to Berklee City Music and the separate funding of five scholarships for high school students in the Berklee City Music Network to attend Berklee’s five-week summer program.

The grant, announced in May during the Berklee City Music Tour, is comprised of a $150,000 base grant, plus an additional $25,000, raised in conjunction with Kris Allen and his fans via December’s “Alright with Music Campaign”.
